THE CHALLENGE
As a global paints and coatings manufacturing and distributing company with over a dozen brands under its umbrella, the client’s leaders need to ensure that their employees are constantly innovating and thinking creatively for customers. This requires understanding the landscape for modern development practices and coaching on innovative methods. Although the enterprise is currently going through a five-year digital transformation initiative, many of the team members weren’t sure how to level up their industry knowledge with modern practices or what facets needed updating.
Hylaine’s global paints & coatings manufacturing Client strives to keep their IT organization up to the highest standards of industry innovation. With a workforce 60,000 strong, it was a priority to provide polished resources for education.
THE SOLUTION
Hylaine conducted a six-week engagement to assist the global manufacturing and distributing company, spending the first three weeks having discussions with the core IT leaders aligned to Modern Architectures and Digital Technologies, Leadership and People in Digital Organizations, and Modern Delivery Processes. Leveraging everything the Hylaine team learned, 17 sub-modules were created across those topics containing modern industry practices and examples of recent, successful company projects that matched these current practices. Hylaine built out these sub-modules as story documents containing an overview of the subject matter, introduced supporting topics, included relevant company examples or scenarios that could be applied to themselves, and then outlined milestone guidelines for gauging employee understanding covering beginning to advanced skillsets. This content was then condensed to presentation decks referencing the story documents and other sub-modules. The team then presented live, interactive training to various leaders in the organization.
