Adam W. Boitnott,

Adam W. Boitnott, CEO of Hylaine, is a proud Virginia Tech grad with a love for his family, a passion for technology, and an enthusiasm for sports. Adam recently celebrated 17 years of marriage to his rock-star wife, Dawn, and they have two incredible daughters, Hylton and Maclaine, who are the namesakes of Hylaine.

Fresh out of college, Adam dove into the IT field, finding success at Accenture & Avanade while living in Washington D.C., Seattle, and New York City. Southwest Virginia called him back home to be the Director of Group Services, Technology, and Administration at Shenandoah Life Insurance and, later, the Vice President of Strategy and Operations at NetVentures.

With nearly 20 years of technologically-driven experience under his belt, Adam took his IT talents to CTS in Charlotte, NC.  In a short 18 months, he grew revenue by 450% (yes, you read that right) and more than doubled the client list. This was all while managing the delivery, sales, and financial reports for the company as well as creating a refreshing culture for his employees that was both exciting and empowering.

Now, enter Hylaine. It’s a company that combines all of Adam’s success in the technology world with his unique perspective of the client’s world.

Even with all the responsibilities that come with starting his own company, Adam still finds time to have fun. He spends a good bit of his free time in basketball gyms and on soccer fields with his daughters, experiencing all the culinary treasures Charlotte has to offer with his wife, attending as many sporting events as possible, and seeing the world with his family.

Ryan McElroy,

Ryan McElroy is an architect at Hylaine whose love for software programming comes close to the adoration he has for his wife Marilyn and their two pups: Emma and Riley. His heart is also split between the Big 12 and the SEC as he’s an alumni of both Kansas State University (KSU) and Auburn University (AU).

Before Ryan ever stepped foot on a college campus, he spent several years providing computer, website, and network services to clients. His first Java class at KSU would be the moment that solidified his love for programming and eventually bring him to change his major to Software Engineering. Ryan built on his classwork by also becoming the lead student trainer at the InfoTech CTR Department servicing and maintaining more than 60 technology classrooms across campus.

After transferring to and graduating from Auburn University, Ryan launched into a career with CTS, Inc. There, he worked closely with Adam's team to build solutions for nearly every type of software project under the sun. Ryan also had a stint at SentryOne as a software engineer, where he helped to revolutionize development processes and scale across teams.

If you’re thinking Ryan is all tech brain with no cool factor…think again. He’s a flame-throwing, target-shooting, whiskey-loving, amateur car repairman who can hold his breath for an entire two minutes. (And those are just a few of the highlights. You’ll have to ask him for more.) Whether it's building Software projects or anything else, Ryan is always ready for his next adventure.

Aly Coben (Lerner),
Business Development Manager

Aly’s never believed in  “thinking outside the box”  because for her there is no box.  Her anything-is-possible attitude, value of authentic relationships, and success in business management make her the perfect fit as Hylaine’s Business Development Manager.

As a business leader, Aly’s focus has always been on maximizing initiatives that raise brand awareness and positively impact local communities. The scope of her extensive local, national, and international experience spans business development, brand marketing, fund-raising, special event planning, nonprofit and foundation work; all supported by a proven track record for optimizing budgets and exceeding goals.

Armed with a Communications degree from the University of Texas, Austin, Aly began her career as Project Events Director for the American Heart Association in Houston, one of the largest chapters in the country. Her success in Houston led to one of the most exciting roles of her career, Development Director for the Princess Grace Foundation in New York City where she worked directly with His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco, the Principality, and the Foundation Trustees. Aly also worked as a Corporate Developer for the local NPR affiliate WFAE. Her career path then led her to Apparo, where she was Director of Development. There, she helped connect the CIO’s of major community-minded corporations with nonprofits; providing them with IT education, training, and affordable IT solutions.

If you were wondering if she stopped at professional mantras… think again! Aly and her husband, Matt, enjoy spending time with their wonderfully-blended, adventurous family of five children. She also works out and practices yoga, acting and directing theater productions, and was once the lead singer of a band. Additionally, Aly also loves to volunteer for nonprofits like the American Cancer Society and the Mental Health Association. She fully believes in “living the life you want and loving the life you live”!

Jason Pollard,

As an Architect with Hylaine, Jason works directly with clients to develop and implement software that is tailored exactly to their needs. His hands-on approach to each minutiae of a project is matched by his superb abstract thinking abilities and attention to detail. Never one to shy away from a challenge, Jason champions the Yogi Berra motto: “It ain’t over until it’s over.”

With a long history in computer technology and software development,Jason is well-versed in the IT world. But wrestling with 1’s and 0’s isn’t where he started. Having earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Michigan, he got his first taste of computer problem solving as a cable modem installation supervisor. A taste was all it took.Jason went on to tackle all manner of IT challenges, from data processing, web developing, server design, JavaScript development, and more for companies like Bank of America and Duke Energy.

All this work on computers hasn’t distracted Jason from the important things. His favorite times are Friday dinners with his wife and four grown children, watching TV mysteries, and reading philosophy.
